The Latinos are getting a little too conservative for some...

Latino Media Group Cleared By FCC To Buy 18 Univision Radio Stations

TelevisaUnivision has been cleared to sell 18 Spanish-language radio stations to the newly-formed Latino Media Group by the Federal Communications Commission. A petition seeking to block the proposed $60 million sale was filed by a Miami listener. But the FCC says that the filer did not follow the required procedures and also failed to provide any facts or evidence to back up the allegations included in the petition.

...
The FCC decision clears the way for the closing of the sale that involves 18 stations including 10 AMs and eight FMs in the largest U.S. markets, including eight of the top 10 Latino markets. Markets included are Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, McAllen, Fresno, and Las Vegas. LMN, a new company founded by social entrepreneurs Stephanie Valencia and Jess Morales Rocketto with support from a group of investors, says the stations reach nearly one third of the U.S. Latino population.

...
Conservatives will not be without a radio outlet in South Florida, however. Salem Media Group announced last month that it is buying WMYM (990) and its companion Kendall, FL-licensed translator W254DT at 98.7 FM for $5 million. Salem said it plans to switch the sports-formatted station to conservative Spanish-language programming.

June 2022: PANIC: Soros-Led Group Backs Purchase of 18 Univision Radio Stations

After years of whining about "Spanish-language disinformation" and watching the Democrats continue to lose Hispanic electoral share to the GOP, the left has had enough.

In what is clearly a panic move, a Soros-led investment group has backed the acquisition of 18 Univision radio stations by a media organization led by former Obama and Clinton operatives.

...
The deal fundamentally recreates the footprint of the failed Univision America talk radio network,

...
The former Univision America launched and folded at a time when Hispanics trusted their media institutions and the sitting Democrat president enjoyed the support of over 70% of Hispanics. This is not that time, and Joe Biden’s Hispanic support is nearly inverted in comparison to that of Barack Obama.

Furthermore, “Radio Soros” can’t fill shelves with baby formula, bring gas prices down to $2/gallon, fix the border crisis or reduce crime in the cities.

Can you imagine being as old as him, and wasting your fortune on crap like this, just so you can tell people what to think? Has the guy ever had any real fun in his life??? And how is it even a good idea to have a likely senile man manipulating and coercing public opinion on such a scale?

But wait, all media is liberal. I hope people are beginning to realize that MSM is dominated by right-wing media when you consider faux news, most of the talk radio that blankets out country (English & Spanish) are right-wing, and the many right-wing newspaper outs, and then throw in Twitter and TicToc on the social media side.

The move by Soros seems appropriate to prevent Latino's from bring further indoctrinated by right-wing radio outlets.

I remember so many years back when there was only one station that would appeal for Spanish. Now, looking through my DirecTV guide channels, there's about 20, if not more. I'm gathering it's a population speculation.
Soros backed, or not.
