Karen Bass is a female version of NYC mayor David Dinkins in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The crime in Karen Bass Los Angeles is completely out of control. The crime in NYC with David Dinkins in the 1990s was completely out of control also.

I guess when they have a city that has a small ultra-wealthy elite and mass poverty with a tiny middle-class, it does work out very well.

I think it is interesting how Los Angeles seems to be one of the few major cities in the United States that have extreme violence in the center of the downtown. Even cities like Chicago and Detroit don't seem to have nearly as violent as a downtown in comparison to Downtown Los Angeles.

What a shame San Pedro is neighborhood full of gang members, migrants and welfare women who have a baby a year because the neighborhood has some nice architecture and good scenery by Los Angeles standards.

Ban knives (and while we are at it, forks also) - people can eat bugs. You enact some common sense knife laws, and crime will clear up.

The voters put these crime-squishy types in, over and over and over again....so I have
to assume that is what they want!

I don’t think anybody cares anymore.
The rich elites are safe in their gated communities.
Those that could, moved out of state.
The rest, at this point, just throw their arms up in the air and say “it is what it is, whatcha gonna do?”.
