Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen, a Republican, signed a bill into law on Monday that bans most abortions after 12 weeks with exceptions for sexual assault, incest and medical emergencies.

The bill does not define “medical emergency” and the legislation includes a clause that will put the rules into immediate effect the day after it is signed.

I agree with this it's disgusting to be giving kids gender-affirmation surgery.

12 weeks doesn't sound like a lot of time but it's actually 3 months or first trimester. I would imagine that would satisfy most folks.

I too fully agree with the ban on kids gender-affirmation surgery.

That’s better than 6 weeks which is ridiculous. Even if thought missed a cycle, week 4, you wait maybe few more days, whose gonna get you in to see a Dr right away ?? I’m ok w children to get surgery after they are 18, but the need to expand the counseling or therapy to those kids even offer it for free, save a young life.

3 months was the original ruling with Roe vs Wade. The government determined that's when life started.

The creep happened over time when government decided that life begins at the firth breath.

Where are you getting any of that?

Roe protected the legality of abortion until the point of viability/24 weeks.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/roe_v_wade_(1973)

Quote:
The Court divided the pregnancy period into three trimesters. During the first trimester, the decision to terminate the pregnancy was solely at the discretion of the woman. After the first trimester, the state could “regulate procedure.” During the second trimester, the state could regulate (but not outlaw) abortions in the interests of the mother’s health. After the second trimester, the fetus became viable, and the state could regulate or outlaw abortions in the interest of the potential life except when necessary to preserve the life or health of the mother.

Let me fix that for you:

Nebraska governor signs bill that bans most abortions at 12 weeks, genital mutilation for those under 19.

The term "gender affirming care" is a BS term devised by the left to camouflage the actual meaning--what we are talking about here is male castration and female circumcision (female genital mutilation). The rest of us need to insist that we call a spade a spade. The left doesn't even have the balls (so to speak) to stand up for what they believe in. They have to try to trick others into accepting their poison.

No, there were actually two cases that legalized abortion. Bolton doesn't get mentioned often. Both cases were about the same time. Abortion was always legal for the entire pregnancy.

I'm certainly against those things if they're involuntary. Why would I be against them if they're voluntary?

Especially if the teen is so miserable as their assigned gender, that they're ready to commit suicide or whatever.

By all means, everyone should pursue their own happiness, whatever that is. To each their own. My body is my body, your body is your body. If you really want to cut your junk off, go for it. Free country, and all that.

The gender surgery ban for minors is a no brainer. 12 weeks is at the the very start of what I consider at practical time limit on the abortion issue.

At least 10 weeks too long.
The Baby has long been attached/implanted and growing/maturing.
We must stop the evil & depraved practice of Mothers wantonly killing their Innocent Gestating Babies.
That we do this...by the hundreds of thousands...is the greatest plague on human society.

As per those suffering Gender Dysphoria...get them help.
These people have very serious mental problems...problems that cause an inordinate prevalence of suicide. And "transitioning" does not help that to any degree.
We need to get the Mental Health Institution system going again. So many (such as these) would probably benefit greatly from inpatient help.
