off-topic from beer, but on places like TikTok the word "suicide(d)" is censored, kids have learned how to say "unalive" instead to foil the Chinese Communist Party censors/algorithms. Your use of "suicided" jumped out at me, like the great Native American hunter spotting the white buffalo.
The picture was on ONE can, that they gave to Dylan Mulvaney. Never sold to the public. Hardly the "face of the brand".
They gave it to a person who makes a living advertising everything they do. They didn't think Dylan would share that information with followers and others would also find out? It was a form of advertising that backfired.
They missed a great opportunity to advertise. BudLight label is on beer, sangria and hard soda. Dylan could have had a funny commercial saying today I feel like a soda but tomorrow I feel more like a sangria using a little self depreciating sense of humor.
Or they could have take a lesser selling brand of beer and market it more directly to the gay/trans community instead of using their best selling beer that has been marketed for generations to blue collar folks.
It was a very poorly thought out decision and you are seeing the consequences of it.
