Cali's middle class has been decimated, & Newsom did nothing to turn that around, so he shouldn't be involved in any discussions to change the current system.

The best change we can make to the current system is to reduce the size & scope of gov't spending & regs...which is polar opposite of Newsom's agenda.

Gov't spending in 1932 was ~10% of GDP, & now, its ~50%. That is what caused our massive wealth & wage gaps...the gov't taking 5X as much out of the private sector, & blowing it on wasteful gov't spending.

Look at Cali's big gov't spending, and what its done to the economy there, & only radical leftists (25% of us) would want Newsom in the White House. 75% do not want Newsom's tax & spend policies to expand beyond Cali's state line.

He would definitely destroy the country, but he has great hair.
So don't count him out.

I don’t see Newsome in the White House. But there is a scenario where it could happen: if Biden decides not to run, and Newsome wins the nomination, and Trump is the Republican candidate. Pretty much anyone would beat Trump in 2024. If you REALLY don’t want Gavin Newsome for President, then dump Trump from the GOP.

Americans are known to be the "consumers of the world".
We are p*ss poor savers and go deep into debt to maintain our status of "consumer".

If Americans can't keep $400 in their bank accounts then no amount of change to our capitalistic system will help them.

People got stimulus checks, EITC, Child tax credit and still had empty bank accounts.

California is becoming 4th largest economy in the world! I don't think Newsom would destroy America's Economy.

Incorrect. California has lost 5th place (which it was for years) to India, making California now #6, just ahead of the UK.

25% of Americans identify as Liberal. They are unsaveable. I'm hoping the remaining 75% won't allow Newsom to destroy our economy any more than it already has been destroyed by...by...by ...whomever is really running it...the thing.

This is about those who might have the power to destroy the US economy, such as a potus. Newsom is not running, but ahh who is? Just comparing…
