Will we also have aggressive police and prosecutors in our nation's cities, who will work hard to get illegal guns off the street and throw the book at anyone who is caught with one? No? Didn't think so.

"common sense" meaning if one opposes their ideas they don't have common sense. It's shaming/manipulation tact. Just like putting the title Patriot Act on a bill that opened the door to all sorts of other stuff and people not involved in terrorism.

Their 'common sense' ideas will wind up being a bunch of regulations and fees that will not deter the criminals who use guns in their crimes. They want to regulate gun ownership out of existence not the criminals committing violent crimes.

In principle, gun safety measures is a good thing. Or it would be if they were being honest. But are they really thinking in terms of gun safety? Mention is made of enforcing gun laws. Yeah, does that mean forcing the states to prosecute gun crimes? That would be what it sounds like but does their track record give any indication that this is what they have in mind?

Joe Biden is so fond of executive orders. All he has to do is issue an executive order requiring DA's to prosecuted gun crimes and stop plea bargaining the gun crime aspect away. Any crime involving a gun - mandatory minimum jail term. Or how about an executive order requiring DA's who fail to prosecute gun crimes to serve prison sentences. Give them a bit of incentive.

But no, I'm afraid this would fall in line with the 'ministry of misinformation'.

That is a total lie.

They want to do everything they can to control who has guns.
Come on man, Harris has done such a spectacular job with the border, she just has to be a success with this new task...Lol

I agree with with you, this is all about controlling and or restricting law abiding firearms owners.

The mere fact they keep calling it "gun" violence means they want to keep the uniformed focused on firearms and not the real problems that are causing it. We already have thousands of Federal and State firearms laws, and restrictions, background checks, licensing, etc. It's obvious what we are doing now isn't working. Perhaps we should start focusing on the root causes, if we really want to try and reduce violence.

The fact that our politicians aren't doing this, really makes me think, there is much more behind their agenda.

Well, here's a link that provides information about gun violence in big cities:

https://drexel.edu/uhc/resources/bri...%20age%20group

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The amazing thing is that the study only concerns gun deaths and not gun wounds.

Well, I have suggested a handgun cartridge that makes a 3" deep wound in .44" to .45" diameter as a cartridge that would reduce deaths while making significant wounds needed for self defense. Now the cartridge, as fired, does maintain traditional trajectory and therefor traditional velocity. Also the bullet is non-fragmenting.

But for such a cartridge to become popular, the police would have to use it.

I don't know why the black pill and others are so damn worried about toothless office it can't do anything without congress and congress won't give any power to a fake office the pesky Constitution is the way of biden and his puppet masters!

2nd A must go away to complete the socialists takeover of the country. Expect more of the same as time dwindles to a critical election.

Obama set the tone, bypassing congress and use fedral agencies to create regs.

Meanwhile biden admin finances the drug cartels violence and fentanyl, the leading cause of death for 18-45 years olds.

Out of the closet, no disguising the plan to end private gun ownership. Turn gun owners into felons is the plan.

They want to do everything they can to control who has guns.

Because if they were really interested in preventing families from being torn apart, and communities being torn apart - we would have a better public education system. We would have borders. We would have campaigns against drug use and behavior that results in single parent households. We would have programs to be more responsible gun owners.

They are enabling the crisis of guns, and enabling families being torn apart so they can control the guns.
Excellent post. Took the words out of my mouth. Democrats are doing everything they can to break apart the family. It’s full steam ahead deconstructionism from them. The current crop of them lack logic and critical thinking skills. Either that or they are in full blown destroy America mode. That’s looking like real possibility. There’s no other way to see it. They are either dumb or purposefully destructive.
