There was a kerfuffle a few years back when some white women wanted to open a burrito shop or something in Oregon. Such a wierd thing to take issue with. Usually these things are media made, helped along by useful idiots on social media. Consider all the "Is ::fill in the blank:: racist?" headlines. Garbage, all of it.

I think you completely missed the point of the story. The 'collective behaviour' of Australians has literally nothing to do with this story, which is about an Australian woman in New York who was getting hounded by moronic American leftists for 'cultural appropriation'.

Back many decades ago when I was a kid in Manhattan, there was a restaurant around the corner called Chinese Comidas. What was that? Saying Chinese food in Spanish? All I could think of.

At many, if not most of the malls I have been to, Hispanics cook 90% of what is sold at the food court -- Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Greek, and even "American" food.

Especially in cities with big Hispanic populations, its not unusual to come across a Cuban Chinese restaurant once in a while. I'm told Peru has many Peruvian/Japanese eateries. When east Asians spread through the world, they learned to combine the home country's recipes with what was popular in their adopted countries. The combination draws customers in search of something different.

I wonder if the Japanese are upset that most teppanyaki chefs that I've seen (a fair sample over 50 years) are mostly Chinese and Mexican? And the sushi guys are often Korean.

Do they get upset at Japanese people who fly airplanes? White people invented airplanes.

And the internal combustion engine, so no cars for easterners, either.

LOL. I am right wing, and I am not mad. I could not care less. It's called having bigger fish to fry.

Don't worry Eddie. Tomorrow is another day.

A day where people can make more unsourced claims and then flee the thread after people respond.
