We gave the canal up in 99' when the "lease/treaty" expired, and right away Panama let the Chinese take it over. Thanks, Bill Clinton, for not negotiating an extension! The Chinese have taken over a lot in Latin America.
As far as illegals crossing the Darrien Gap? Most of the Illegals coming up our way are from the Central American countries, and Mexico, which are all well north of the Darian Jungle.
That place is remote and thick and difficult to get through. Quite pretty though. If one gets the chance to go to Panama, go!
The guy being interviewed mentions how they are doing it. They’ve met up with many natives/tribes that came over on the land bridge long ago. Basically telling them they are distant relatives and how their long past members helped built Great Wall of China, China in general and how the white men, Spanish, Germans, Americans have stolen their/our land. A local reporter told the guy it’s not going to be a military war on the US, it’s going to be infiltrate and expand. Eventually they’ll be big enough that they’ll run it/own it. Already scammed the South American locals.
He also said the Chinese who cannot fly directly into the US or Mexico take a super easy route through Darien on boats. He also mentioned how many terrorist organizations are banned together to make the long route rather than fighting amongst themselves.
Michael Yon seems very knowledgeable about what is occurring down at the Darien Gap. After listening to Brett Weinstein on Tucker, I learned about Michael Yon.
Our government needs to wake up and be more proactive right now before this situation gets out of hand.
I don't hear anyone in Congress talking about the threat the Chinese pose to the U.S. Are they all in denial?
He predicted the nordstream gas pipeline would be compromised before Russian/Ukraine war. Was at a fertilizer company tour in Germany and asked what would happen if it did? They said they’d go out of business.

I just don't get that as the Darien Jungle is well south of Mexico. In other words, the only way to use the Darien to come illegally is to start in Colombia and find a way through the jungle till it ends at the canal basically. They still have to get through the rest of Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala before even getting to Mexico.
By boat, from Panama, is going to take at least a week, with at least several fuel stops along the way in which they must clear in/out of the assorted countries they'll have to pass through. Its not a straight and direct route by water from Colombia to the US.
Nothing easy about any part of that trip on either coast, or right up the middle!
By thinking about the other critters one has to worry about! Snakes, Crocodiles, Jaguars, Pumas, Spiders,.....Velociraptors , Trex , guerillas (ger NOT gor ), etc... One enters that place, they go down a bunch of links on the food chain!

He says a government/NGO-created famine is in the works.

Sorry, I didn’t put all the details. South America is now a free for all for world to land and be accepted to then voyage north. Once the Darien gap has been passed (where the Chinese get the easy route) then everyone is bused north/it’s organized now big time. He commented a lot about watching it become organized. He talked about how China can get their people passports/drivers licenses along the way. He and other journalists have gotten some people to talk along the way. One guy they tracked it took 10 days from when he started in Columbia to then be in NYC with a drivers license.
Oh well. We left the door open to the Chinese. We sent our jobs to China empowering their economy. We could have improved relations with Central and South American up instead we did business with drug kingpins. Overthrew governments in Central and South America, block aid countries in South America that don’t want to bend to the US, and we act like Central American countries don’t exist at all.
No one ever ask why we decided to send jobs all the way to China instead of Central America, it’s a very good question that requires unraveling all the US, Central America government interactions that led to leaving the door open to China.
