Male victims of false accusations. (FBI, suspect, Canada, independent)

I've heard in some cases that men have become victims of false accusations made by women they knew or were with. False claims like rape, assault, etc. A man is ruined forever after this, over some lie.

How often does this happen in relationships or encounters with men and women?
