Hello! I read a Newsweek article about Iraq's troubled effects on its children.

So, I thought "We need to get many of those guys OUT of Iraq."

Many in the Iraqi middle class are already gone. What we need to do is get some of the disadvantaged in Iraq out of Iraq.

So, we could create new communities throughout the United States, Canada, Western Europe, and Japan to allow for the immigrants to leave Iraq and enter more stable countries.

The Newsweek article, by the way, is here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16610767/site/newsweek/ (broken link)

That's fine but they need to rebuild there own country. Actually I have a better idea - most of the troubles are occuring in that center traingle of the country known as the "sunni triangle". Unfortunetly that includes the most populated areas including Baghdad. The rest of the country of Iraq- the north and south, is relatively tame and prospering (but you won't hear that on the news).
Maybe they should make the north and south seperate countries and leave the nuts and crazies that want to cut of each others heads in the center.

Saddam was doing a great job of keeping the 'nuts' in check.

Now, whose bright idea was it to remove him?

Yes, yes. But Iraq itself was a country in which the boundries were decided by the League of Nations and the old European colonial powers, etc. That's why you have a country overlapping old tribal boundries and rivalries and some of the reason for the violence today.

Have Iraq divided into 3 countries? Maybe that's the solution, it's been proposed before. This worked for the Balkan region when they decided to start killing each other in the 90's over old historic fueds and rivalries. Now they have like 5 different countries where there was once one.

Maybe in the far future, rebuilding is a possibility. But, in the near future, I doubt Iraq will get any better. The fate of Iraq is completely out of the hands of the sane people. The sectarian butchers are now ruling the country.
