How could Minnesota come so close to electing douche bag Al Franken? Has anybody listened to the awful things this guy has to say? Or even seen his squirrelly face? There is currently a recount, and Norm Coleman (R) is expected to win, although by a small margin. Are people in Minnesota just dumb always electing nuts (Jesse Ventura) or what???

Look at this guy!!! His beliefs are even goofier than his face!!!

Al Franken is great!!! I used to love to listen to him when he was on Air America - it would help neutralize the constant neocon bs being spouted by Limbaugh, Hannity et al...

He'd have been a scream in the Senate - just what's needed to shake up that old-white-dude restricted-country-club atmosphere... tell a few jokes about Laura Bush and the Drunken Sailor in front of C-Span

If Al Franken's brain is half as demented as his face, he would be a disgrace to the Senate. The people from Minnesota are largely of Scandinavian origin, and are very satisfied with everybody having equal pay regardless of their individual productiveness or merit. Most of the electorate up there is beer drinking, corner tavern socialism.

Net effect: Minnesota's cities are some of the blandest, most boring, even ugly cities in the country.

There are more Germans than anything else, by a long shot, here.

German(38%), Norwegian (17%), Irish (12%), and Swedish (10%)

We have a Republican Governor and a Republican Senator, in case you missed it.

As for the rest of your bigoted and retarded post - it doesn't justify response.
