Really? I don't recall having major issues with fraudulent voting here in Oregon. I am sure one could find a case or two, but there hasn't been any proof of mass voter fraud that doesn't get caught in the very early stages.

Texas will always be RED.

Texas will never be BLUE.

We will secede before allowing that to happen.

Maybe, Democrats and Republicans have been growing in Texas as the state grows. If the migration of Republicans ever slows, you could see Texas start going purple.

I just don't see that happening. Texans (and I'm talking Native Texans) will ensure we stay Red.

There's more than one reason folks say, "Don't Mess With Texas".

If you've never been to to Texas before, you'd be amazed at how many vehicles have "Don't Tread On Me" stickers on them; houses that have "Don't Tread On Me" flags on them; houses that proudly wave the Texas state flag on them, etc. Far different from ANY state I've ever visited.
There is a thing here called Texas Pride.

It's the ONLY state that waves the State flag and American flag at the same height.

It really feels like it's own country. Remember, Texas was once it's own Republic.

I am not talking about native Texans, I am talking about those that migrate to Texas.

There is an old saying in Texas.
"I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could"

Texans, even in the most liberal of places, are more loyal to their State, than the Union.

What does that have to do with what I have said? Being loyal to Texas doesn't mean liberal magically start voting for Republicans.

2020..doubtful..But by 2020, it will likely be a small enough margin the GOP will have to spend tons of time and money defending it, which means even less in 2012 swing states.

BW state margins have held or grown in recent decades, while several Red Wall states are seeing less holding power..which means pouring more resources into what were once soild as can be red states.

Texas is a few cycles away from being very tight, but this pattern is not good if one believes there must be 2 equally competitive parties for POTUS.

Man don't depress me. After Florida and the Carolinas Texas is one of my dream states that I'd considered for a relocation to escape winter. Loved loved loved Texas when we visited. It can't turn liberal, it's my last safe haven.
