GAYS ARGUE USING "YES ON 8" REASONS

Attorneys conclude Supreme Court arguments in gay marriage case

What an amazing development!!!

In an argument before the Iowa supreme court, pro-gay marriage proponents try to defend the idea that redefining marriage to included gays won't lead to a further breakdown in what the word "marriage" means.

Get this... the argument is that since marriage has historically meant two people, polygamous marriages shouldn't be allowed!!

Does it get any richer than this?

Not only are they using arguments that they decry elsewhere, but their use of that argument is even weaker when applied to themselves. Let's see, "historically" has marriage more often included polygamy or homosexuality? Hummm...
An attorney for six same-sex Iowa couples insisted that allowing gay marriage would not open the door to polygamous marriages, despite challenges from several Iowa Supreme Court justices.

Dennis Johnson, a Des Moines lawyer, said marriage would remain an institution of two people even if the high court allowed gay couples to wed. The assertion came in response to questions from several justices that gay marriage would open the door to other types of marriage.

“How do you stop?” asked Justice Mark Cady. “How do you stop more than two people from getting married?”

Johnson said a marriage “has always been well defined within the concept of two people,” and that polygamy would change its historic meaning. Same-sex couples, by contrast, should have the right to marry because they meet all other requirements to wed, he said.

“This right is a time-honored right and tradition in this society,” Johnson said. “What you see is that people have always had a fundamental right to marry. The court has made it clear. With more than two people, you would change the meaning of marriage.”

As many of us have adopted children, send money overseas to starving children or children without basic medical care, yes, the clamoring by adult gays in the US seems ridiculous.
Why don't you put your emotional problems in some kind of world perspective.

Ah, rational thought and good citizenry in action!
Olympia Queers Attack Mormon Church In Solidarity With Greece
Sunday, December 14 2008 @ 07:43 PM CST

We had a great last night sneaking about in snow covered Olympia. We paid another visit to the bigots over at the Mormon Church. We covered their building with messages in spray paint, such things as “there is no sin in your desire”, “love who you want to love and love how you please”, “sex is fun! It’s not shameful”, “queer and trans insurrection” and many, many, many, many others. We also left them a surprise, it’s a pretty big one, we think they’ll notice it within a few days. The Mormons are an atrocious bunch and, well, it just felt amazing to f*** up their holy place, especially on an early Sunday morning with the snowflakes glistening in the street lamps.

I don't agree with attacking church buildings or temples....
but I also don't agree with people being able to vote other's rights away

buildings/ windows/bricks can be preplaced... people's lives cannot...

What class! They have every right to protest, but this kind of thing is a disgrace and is criminal. They deserve to go to jail.

Wow. Scapegoat the Mormons for what many, many non-religious people agree with.
It is their children they do not want led astray by Hollywood promotion of gayness as just as normal as apple pie.
Non-religious people will support the Mormons - and then what will you have?
Even more problems.
You already can see that ethnic minorities do not support you.

Gay adults should stay in the closet. Why do they "need" to talk endlessly about how sad they felt growing up because they just didn't "identify" or weren't drawn to the opposite sex. I think they were. They just couldn't get a date and so backed down. We know you. Remember?
Everyone in their pre-teen years feels a bit rejected, now don't they?
But, gays just can't get over it.
They want the entire universe to approve of them. In reality, they want more converts for their dating pool. And they will use the media to exploit OUR children. You bet they will - they admit it.
They are just as bad as any drug dealer or gang leader.
They want more bodies.

Each side of the political fence has its more radical elements. I'm glad to see that our side has its ppl that cause damage to the truly hateful mormons.

Cause damage to others - truly not the "oh, we're VICTIMS of hate" image.

Again, don't pick on the Mormons - you have to have a 4.0 to get in BYU these days. I wouldn't take them on if I were you. They are bright .....and usually right.
