I made the mistake of getting drawn into political conversations with a couple of them, and they discovered I was for Obama-Biden, so, now it's the cold-shoulder for me!

to explain the mentality sounds like an ill qualified person trying to do a put down you don't deserve.
Somebody who's slamming you is confusing her vocabulary. Being concerned with something that affects the country and world at large is pretty much the antithesis of narcissism. Maybe tell her that, just so you can watch her head explode at trying to figure out what "antithesis" means, since her definition of "narcisissistic" is causing such confusion.
