I've known many and had a handful of close friends who were gay. And I tell them the same thing I say on here; I'm not going to walk on eggshells with you, if you're going to get in my face about your sexuality I'm going to tell you what I think about it so let's do each other a favor and keep our sex lives where they belong, in our own homes, not in each other's face.
I never knew a homosexual until well in my 20's. I do remember a gay couple from my childhood, but at that time I didn't understand what homosexuality was. I just remember hearing my Mom and Grandma mention them.
I did work with a gay man in my 20's for a short period of time.
I did meet a few gay men later on in life, but it seemed they only wanted me for sex, friendship was out of the question.
I have one homosexual friend and three who are mostly asexual. The asexuals say they are straight but who knows for sure. My homosexual friend has moved to Minnesota so we cannot talk face-to-face anymore, but we still communicate by phone or internet. The only reason I know him was from childhood friendship, I do not tend to make friends currently with homosexuals it seems.
