Precisely, but Palin and christian implications suggest otherwise and I for one find that insulting. This victim mentality paraded around is just ridiculous, made even worse when they're instigating in the name of fill in the blank. Whomever the culprit(s) may be I hope the law catches up with them and believe me they wouldn't want me on their jury.

Well, she talked, and talked alot, but never really said much. I used to watch reagan give state of the union addresses, and he was the longest winded person I'd ever seen, until palin popped up.

I mean, what did she say about the fire? All I heard her say was that she apologizes if the publicity due to her had anything to do with it.

I do think that this could easily be the work of some nutjob, or the good reverend looking to cash in either with publicity or with insurance.
Then again, it could be the work of one of the fanatical Palin haters.
There were plenty of those and that is the most likely cause of this attack.

If someone had set fire to the church that Obama attends, there would be immediate cries of racism. I think this could have been set by someone that hates Christianity.

Like a nationalist Inuit?

Perhaps it was set by a moose hunter frustrated at his inability to shoot straight.

You know, it would be nice to have a thread where we didn't have all these comparisons all the time, e.g. "If this were a (Dem, Repub, White, Black, Hispanic, etc) everyone would be up in arms". Can't we discuss the arson at Palin's church w/o bringing up Obama's race?

My bet is on local punks. Does anyone really think a bunch of Palin haters flew to Alaska to set fire to her church?

The only reason why I brought up Obama is because some posters here seem to think this incident is funny. My comment was really directed at them. I would hate for this to happen to anyone's church.

Well, you could have said that, and not brought up racism, yet again! (Not that you singular have necessarily brought it up a lot, but because many of the neocons bring it up frequently.)
