Wasn't it the controller who REFUSED to obey the governor to stop writing checks to state employees until their congress passed the budget? Now the controller is stopping tax refunds and welfare? Seems like the controller is a dumb@ss... Ca should be broke with their stupid taxes and their illegal immigrant problem... what did you think was going to happen? Cali will be the "ghetto state" of America if it don't deal with its problems soon... it is INEVITABLE... bunch of socialist yuppies...

CA will be burning shortly if the welfare doesn't show up. And I can't say it will bother me.

This is an interesting story! California controller to suspend tax refunds, welfare checks - Los Angeles Times

I'm curious as to how this will play out over time. As they say, California sets the lead for the other states.

One question though: Will the controller tack on interest accrued in favor to whom the refund is due?

Interests accrued? From what money? The liberals will demand other states to pay for them through the federal government... I mean look how "poor" Californians are and they need help... they worked hard and deserve every dime you have...

Californians get back 80c on the dollar that they pay the federal gov't, so you're damn right they're looking for a bailout.
