We've got the Democrats...what's the other "strong" party? The GOP is at it's weakest point in years, and appears to be in complete disarray..hopefully, for the good of the country, it will one day fade away forever.
Excellent point, and I wish those reformers godspeed. No party ever needed reinvention more. Great OP, too. I'd add the lie about ACORN being involved in voter fraud.
Agree. The list of GOP / Rovian "Big Lies" will continue to grow, and confuse those poor souls who let others tell them WHAT to think, instead of we who've been taught critical thinking skills for HOW to think.

Wow spoken like a true socialist! The Communist share this very same opinion. Yes indeed; lets give all the power to one party indefinately and just let the Government have total control because it's obvious that they don't have enough control already. Someday you will learn (once it's too late) I'm afraid that those who share your views do nothing but contribute to our ever increasing loss of freedom. Think things are bad now? try to imagine them being exponentially worse if you're capable....
Losing a voting option would never be good for the country. Giving all the power to one party would produce catostrophic results. Both parties have produced notable leaders throughout history who's leadership made this country more prosperous and a better place to live. Giving voters one set of ideals to cast their vote for is a ridiculous and ignorant wish.
The economy was in great shape but that was because of the internet boom. Clinton had nothing to with this. He also left us vulnerable by not responding to the threat of terrorism on his watch. Clinton knew Osama was a threat and never when after him and he had chances to. He also weakened our military in a way no other President ever has (well except Jimmy Carter maybe). I won't talk about the shame he brought to the White House by lying under oath. He was an impeached president. Clinton wasn't a "bad" President but he was no saint or hero. If he had to deal with what GW had to deal with things would be much worse now.
Among all the other daily marching orders that the right wing talkers, and RW posters here and elsewhere, keep propogating this one is the most laughable. I've read it on here a few times the last couple of days as well as heard it from Limbaugh and Fox News. It's like the last 8 years' of idiotic policies never happened and Obama is starting with a clean slate.
Among other bits of complete BS that keep popping up over the last couple of months:
*61 former Gitmo inmates now in Al-Queda. Of course NO ONE can confirm this number. The PENTAGON, who the right reveres in most things says 18 confirmed 43 SUSPECTED. No names, no incidents, just a number. Of course the higher number is seized upon and parrotted, most recently by Hannity and Guiliani. Why either of these two losers has any credibility with anyone with a brain is beyond---oh, never mind.
*UAW workers earn $73/hour. So totally refuted that it's not worth mentioning, except by posters here who claim that "my neighbor's brother in law earns much, much more than that"!
*FDR's policies made the Great Depression worse. Technically, by listening to the Republicans in '37/'38 it's true. But then, those weren't his policies, he listened to the Rs. Always backed up with the BS line that, "most economists agree". Kind of like their line that "most scientists agree" that global warming is a myth. It doesn't matter how many times you tell them these people are convinced that Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck and Karl Rove are economists and scientists!
*Barney Frank caused the financial crisis. He and the CRA (community reinvestment act). Of course this is backed up by the same "economists" cited above.

The Right? I thought we bit@h - slapped the Right and put it in time out for 4 years!
Although the bad economy wasn't really his fault, he did pretty much gut the military.
