It's funny how these fake Conservatives are all riled up about supposed "detention centers" when Bush for the first time last Year has now stationed permanently active duty military on assignement in the US for national security matters, breaking the Posse Comitatus Act. Which says that the military should not take over policing actions inside the US. That's for a domestic police force to do. .....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act

That was a real erosion of Civil Liberties.

A terrible precedent....If and when the sht should ever hit the fan in the USA....the President will have his own Praetorian Guard established to keep a lid on the troublemakers...thanks to Bush and his right wing supporters.

We just took another step towards a Third World Government.

Sounds to me like they expect the lawlessness in Mexico to escalate to where the Govt of Mexico collapses after losing its battle with drug lords, at which times masses of refugees crash the border into TX, NM, AZ and CA. Not to mention the masses of illegals in SoCal who may join arms with the drug lords to begin an insurrection in the SoCal area. Just a wild thought, but plausible if you're been reading of the violence in northern Mexico this past year or so.

Careful now...such thought will get you labeled as a "neocon wacko". As if this line of thought is something new. Weren't our Fouding Fathers rather renowned for a rationale such as this? Oh, I forgot, they could not foresee a society this far in the future. The Constitution, in original form, is outmoded and out of step with "modern" society. . The last 3 presidential administrations have done massive harm to our way of life, and the current regime promises to further that damage. Notice that sneaky little clause in the language of the projct being discussed here. "Other purposes to be determined by Homeland Security". That leaves a lot of doors open. Bush 1 got this ball rolling with that "New World Order" malarky and Clinton, Bush JR. and now Obama are using that as a stepping stone to massive expansion of Federal authority. If stuff like this doesn't make someone a bit nervous that someone has their head in the sand. washington and it's politicians do not have the best interests of the citizenry in mind. There has not been a president in recent history that did not want more power transfered to the Federal government. Sweeping legislation has been passed to do just that. The Patriot Act, the forming of the Dept of Homeland Security, and with these and many others, massive new Executive power. This is not a good thing.

Living in a border state, I'll say that the fear that the violence will go further north is real. It's already spilled over in some parts. I was reading something a few days ago that was about the increase in beheadings and the increased violence in these cartels.

Just like they swore allegiance to Hitler! History just keep repeating it's self. Germany fell so they all jump on the next US flight out of town along with Bushes Grand Father. Welcome to the new world order.. If you haven't seen the Movie 1984 watch it.. Solent Green is another good one as are many others that try to reach out to you.
