The fairness doctrine was originally set up when you had three stations, thus making it easy to have a monopoly on news and the info given. Now, with the internet, satellite radio, etc, etc, etc., liberals and conservatives have infinite outlets for their talking points.
Liberal radio has a chance to make it, if their people listen, which they don't. Doing this is only an attempt to try and silence successful conservative voices.
Good, then let the fairness doctrine begin. Maybe that 50/50 split should apply to television as well where a large majority of the foolishness spewed across the airwaves is liberal hype from NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN?

Let each party pac pay its own way in a 50/50 split. The party that pays gets its share of the 50 according to its ability to pay. Airtime that can't be paid for should be dead air. We'll see how long they call it 'fair'.
