He's also not President because the national TV news media (ABC, NBC, CBS) can't handle more than 2 candidates from each party in their 22 minute broadcasts so they decide who the 2 candidates will be by squeezing out the rest of them and giving them less airtime. In Howard Kurtz's book, I believe he said they call it winnowing.
I'm sorry to say I did not support Ron Paul but it was pretty plain to me what the broadcast networks and cable news networks were up to, especially during the Republican debates. (It could have happened to some Democrat candidates, too, during their debates but I didn't watch enough of them to notice.) It was disgraceful.
