I actually give him credit for the shoes; but considering how the people in general viewed him, he probably thought everyday something could happen.

When's the last time you went up against powerful energy lobbys for the benefit of your constituents?

That's what i thought, a mindless critic, just like all the other non productive Liberal wonks that blame, and accuse and destroy our freedoms.
Mindless critic? If that were the case I guess it takes one to know one. Unfortunately I prefer one party over the other but WILL point out when either does the wrong thing. As part of the Air Force I was in charge of 30 men and women as part of combat control and pararescue. Towards the end of my enlistment I was an SP(security police) or specifically a missile cop.Everything I have ever been in charge of has been adequately taken care of with no casualties. As far as where I live, that would be the true capital of the U.S (NY).How big of a budget was I responsible for? Well at the most in my civilian life-about $50 million. In military at most it's very hard to say.By the way the largest provider of energy in our nation is provided by National Grid (of England). Also if you want to talk about oil,Alaska's state completely runs on oil dollars. Now that the prices are coming down; how is Alaska going to support their state budgets without all those oil dollars? Is she going to legalize crystal meth,so all those local meth labs that have been discovered lately can be put to good use? Don't put it past her!Her husband was working 1 day a week, every other week? What does that tell you??? Corruption!!!She fired a guy from the sheriff's department because she didn't like that he broke up with his sister! These are all facts unlike your NeoCon crap! Maybe next time you can try challenging someone who wears the same republican blinders that you have over your eyes and just hears the propaganda that fat a$$ limbaugh spews and calls it news!!!

I figured that in the context of Palin you would know i was speaking of Oil.

50 million... not bad, nothing like Palin's 6-10 Billion. But a decent figure.

The point was and is, that she is not an idiot. She obviously is smart enough to have the highest approval rating of any US governor, and is still even after the Liberal beating she took, has an easy 10 point lead on Obamanation.

And i don't think Rush ever thinks that he is a journalist, so it's not news he's spewing, it's opinion. And frankly a far better opinion than this President will ever have, when it comes to what is good for this country.

I have never been completely sold on any president and unfortunately my opinion as well as others was that McCain was too old and out of touch with modern day society. We definitely needed fresh blood.I hope no matter who is in the drivers seat will do best but we obviously needed change from the freefall we were in.Is the stimulus going to work? Who knows,we'll have to wait and see.I do think giving the money directly to the people might have been a much better option and in turn they would have(most I hope)paid off bills including mortgages and other loans and bought some new things which would have really stimulated the economy. As for Palin, when things are good-approval numbers are good. She came into office when oil prices were VERY HIGH and like every year before she came into office, local Alaskans got their version of a royalty check. Thats how Alaska works. Now with all the talk of alternative fuels this could really hurt their funding. The next year or two will be a tell tale sign if she is a good governor. If she was smart she'd start doing hydro power changes now in Alaska. My own opinion as well as others is that she made simple decisions that were already in place and now she'll be tested.I don't consider her intelligent by any means and if you compare her to someone like Hillary she is really overshadowed.Actually Palin came into play because the Republicans thought females would be upset by her not being by Obama's side so this was supposed to appease the women voters. Unfortunately for the repub's most saw through this and voted otherwise.
Rush doesn't think he's a journalist but just the most correct. So does Bill Maher but at least he makes sense.Rush liked Bush so his opinion is wrong for this country.Hopefully now the majority was right. I got my fingers crossed.

Bush has gotten a bad rap on so many levels, none of his accomplishments are even acknowledged. He handled 911 remarkably well, Afghanistan and Iraq were obviously necessary, and history will show it was extremely important to surround Iran.

Did he help his cronies, absolutely... but not any less than any President in the last 50 yrs.

Obama is doing no different than Bush, except his cronies are idiots when it comes to business and the capitalist mindset.
If you push the wealthy, they will bury you, they will tank this economy... like a bully taking his ball and going home...

You don't screw with the hands that feed you, or you'll starve.

Watch what happens to the stock market and the major corporations in the next 6 months. They going to give Obama a war that he is in no way prepared.

Iran, and Afghanistan I agree.Iraq,no.His response after being told too slow. His advisors telling him--NOT IRAQ,he didn't care. You have to realize this"Sadam messed with daddy and little bushy wanted revenge",so he used this as a lame excuse with the story of WMD and other lies to attack an innocent country(only concerning 9/11).As for Obama I am nervous because when you're talking about 800 billion or more, thats alot. As for the stock market it always goes down when there is change. When Greenspan left it went down.Any rumors it goes down. When concise plans are actually put in motion and all of the stimulus money is put out there, then the markets will start to increase. As for corporations they've been hurting for a while now.Jobs have been shipped overseas including call centers and there are alot of simple solutions which SHOULD HAVE been put in place by the former. If we had started building wind turbines, making solar power cheaper to install, bio diesel cars, total electric cars,etc... all these would have created TONS of jobs for Americans, auto plants in Michigan would be thriving, oil prices and gas would be dropping more and the stock market would reflect this. Please,no more about Bush doing good---he didn't!!!He is in the bottom ten of all time presidents and the fact that he is not the bottom 2 or 3 still shocks me.Give Obama a chance. I'm not promising that he is the savior. He is a politician and politicians are like lawyers;oxymorons (ie-Jumbo Shrimp, honest politician) but judging his presidency before he has had much of a chance to do anything is a bit hypocritical. 6 months to a year down the road if you want to tell me he's horrible, maybe then i'll agree---lets hope not!
