In other news the Jimmy Carter years were a time of prosperity and nuclear winter wasn't a threat at all. You can tell which party wants to deregulate the drugs... They outright lied when they said they don't like deregulation...
The economic crisis that we are now experiencing is the direct result of Reaganism being carried to its logical end by W.

What the price will be to fix it again we can't know at this point in time, but the final tally will be what it cost this country to dance with Ronnie.

He expanded the government all out of proportion to his time in office.

Yup had nothing to do with nuclear war or the downfall of a dominant nation. Find another Reagan thread and message me. This isn't one.

Default Rush Limbaugh--The Idiot

Here's a question for all.If 2 weeks from now Obama hypothetically generated $50 trillion dollars, and unemployment was now under 4%, all the banks bounced back, market doubled it's current numbers, and individuals in foreclosure recovered would Rush give Obama any credit or would he still put him down? I have my opinion and that makes him a [MOD CUT/crude] now what about you? What is your view?

I don't think you'd hear a peep out of him. He's only good for criticizing, and something tells me he wouldn't be the model of graciousness in defeat.

That's the problem, liberals won't get off the pipe, their hallucinations of socialism breeds success will make us all tampons.... bloodied and thrown in the trash bin of history....

Wake up to reality... this president has proposed a budget that is greater than all budgets in the history of this country combined...

I'll say it again, this president has proposed a budget that is greater than all budgets in the history of this country combined.....

Time will only tell. He hasn't even been in office for a year.

I don't get why everyone tries blaming everything on liberals or conservatives. Personally I think it's just a way for people to find a way for people to criticize. I think it's stupidity.

I'm in my 30's. I'm registered to vote as an independent. I have both "liberal" and "conservative" views. I wish people would stop playing the blame game. It's really getting tired!

My view is that some people's careers are based on keeping up an infinite state of staged alarm and outrage regardless of the 'real world outcomes'. I'm sure Rush was pissed off and angry when Bush had the office and the GOP controlled the congress and the house...if that answers your question.

I like the idea. Do we need to harpoon him or something first?
That'll probably be more difficult than it seems. Something tells me he's not going to stand there and wait to be harpooned.

BigJon, before you start slamming my views on Rush-Reagan, it should be noted I'm not a democrat by far. In fact I'm a Ron Paul republican.
My stand on Rush is shared by several paleoconservatives(The American Conservative magazine has been critical of his neoconservative views), and libertarians like myself who are more anti-state and pro-free market than Rush would like.
An Open Letter To Rush Limbaugh by William R. Tonso

Rush and the neoconservatives support socialism via overseas adventures.
Militaries are economically speaking socialist institutions. There are no price signals, no profits or losses, no objective economic measures of efficiency.
The capital used for military adventure doesn't grow on trees, it is stolen at gunpoint from private savings and industry and passed on to a bureaucratic monopoly.

It is my opinion that Rush tends to idolize presidents who don't deserve adoration; Lincoln and Reagan. Rush Limbaugh Crosses the Line by Roy Perdue
