Rush makes more dough then CNN, MSNC, and NPR.
In fact Rush is #1 on the radio thanks to the socialism left!

Wow. Really? Is this what you come up with? He raises tons of money for a good casue, but that's not good enough anyway becasue he probably didn't give his own? Really? Even if the assertion were true, it would be petty. But here. A simple Google Search can educate you (http://tinyurl.com/ddu24y - broken link). He gave his own money. Sometime in late April, Rush held his annual fund raiser (I think he calls it a cure a thon) for the Lukemia & Lymphoma society. Making it clear that he never asks anyone to do something he isn't willing to do himself, Rush donated $300,000 of his own money.

I would not call debating what was stated without info to back it up. The three articles I read that were posted as links did not mention any specific amount of his own money. Yes, on reading the third, it does say he gave his own money, but does not state how much, so I stand corrected. The poster to whom I replied very clearly attempted to make it look as if this particular instance was Rush giving his own money. No attempts to be petty here, but come on now. If I made an exorbitant amount per year and donated a slight amount to anywhere, who cares? It has nothing to do with being great PR? Just to inform you on my position a little more, I am non-partisan. I think that all who dabble in politics, whether it be with a radio show or running for office are lying windbags. I don't care about their party affiliations. I have no love for Rush, but I have no love for anyone who involves themselves in government for their own needs whatever their party.

NPR doesn't make money. It's a non-profit organization. It isn't allowed to make money.

Well that certainly explains Olberman, Rosie O'Donell, Garafolo, and Alex Baldwin.

You need to go read those again. Without even OPENING any of the results, just by reading the parts that show up on the actual search page, there ar FIVE specific mentions of the amount ($300,000) that Rush donated to the cause THIS YEAR. There are a few others there as well, but they are older articles that reference his donations in other years.
My point was not that Rush is some fantastic philanthropist. You said "Above and beyond, he raised money from others. It does not say that he gave his own money. People see what they want to see. Never let the facts get in the way." I pointed out that you were; a) petty, and b)incorrect. He clearly gave his own money. $300,000 of it this year, $400,000 another year, etc. Now you want to say it's all PR and hell, he doesn't notice because he's rich anyway. That's fine, you let your dislike of him color your posts. But at least be sure they're accurate. Especially after your comment about not letting facts stand in the way.

Ok now, I've admitted to listening to Rush, but I have to agree with you here. I like what you said and how you said it.. lol I like your name too.

Default Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat...Well, you know the rest.

In an insane attempt to make sense, Rushbo likened the (D)emocrats quest for power to his own Oxy addiction.

Limbaugh Likens Democrats' 'Quest For Power' To Drug Addiction

Limbaugh Likens Democrats' 'Quest For Power' To Drug Addiction

Radio infotainer Rush Limbaugh took some time out today to talk frankly about his own drug addiction. HA HA KIDDING! Actually, Limbaugh took the time today to weirdly equate the Democrats governing philosophy with criminal Oxycontin abuse. No, I don't think this was supposed to make sense, thanks for asking!

Oh....it gets better, Rushbo fans, get a load of this:

LIMBAUGH: Have you ever had a genuine addiction to something? Well I have and let me tell you about it. It makes you entirely unreasonable and irrational. It is all you care about. Nothing else matters no matter how important...it doesn't matter as much as the addiction. Feeding it, the fear of not being able to is what animates your existence every day. These people are addicted to power because they think it is their birthright. And I'm not just talking about the people in Washington, elected officials, I'm talking about some of -- not all -- but some of the rank and file, madcap insane liberals that you will find blogging, that you will find emailing, that you will find on the protest march. Their lives are basically meaningless, their addiction to power and dominance and control is what drives them.

Wow, I think someone fell off the wagon.
