Can someone explain to me how 5 suspected members of Al Qaeda (although there is no question regarding KSM) suddenly got their own PR machine from inside Gitmo and at the hands of a military judge, not to mention getting a world stage through which to frighten Americans some more? And the media? Well, they are too well versed is stupid to ask any sensible questions:<snip><snip>

Kerby maybe we shouldn't have held people for 6 or so years without charging them.
Put yourself in their shoes, how would you feel?
Wouldn't you want the world to know about your experience?
The US is scared, sorry, Bush created the problem.

I'm with you, Chiel...but when you read the article and what
information they have and the way it is being presented it doesn't
add up. As Bugs Bunny used to say..."There's something screwy going on."
Can someone explain to me how 5 suspected members of Al Qaeda have been held for seven years with no action taken?
Why haven't they gone to trial?
How long does it take the prosecution to prepare a case against a suspect dangerous enough to be held at Gitmo? Can a reasonable answer possibly be "over seven years?"
Why did Bush and Cheney freely pick up so many hardened terrorists, warehouse them together at the same location, and then take no action, just leaving office in hopes that the next guy would solve another one of their poorly thought-out problems?
The government has locked people up, suspected of being combatants, and denied due process of law.
you can't apprehend people, lock them up, and then deny them rights to attorneys or legal representation, it used to be illegal, but the past administration circumvented the laws.

Spoon-fed stupid?
Since when is reporting from open court the statements made by self-confessed terrorist spoon feeding stupidity? I would think that the non-stupid amongst welcome any information good, bad, or indifferent about those who wish us harm. Or is it the OP's position that ignorance is bliss and it is better to be blissfully ignorant rather than be "scared" a a group of pathetic individuals being held in a maximum security facility while awaiting a long overdue date with justice?
Not even the dumbest people in the world can't blame terrorism on Bush. Please tell us you aren't the first one we've come across?
you're correct, it was all clinton's fault
