Bias is one thing. Distortion and misrepresentation are another. But outright and deliberate fraud -- which is what appears to be the case here -- is rather a horse of a different color.
Dan Rather should do some reporting on this, perhaps he could doctor up (er, I mean identify) a memo to this effect?
