It's not a party thing.

Obama is a highly intelligent and pragmatic leader, and people have high confidence in him. His job approval remains in the 60% +

Bush's presidency was filled with all kinds of serious blunders, and in this final years, his job approval was in the 20 - 30% range.

Confidence is what drives the markets.

Bush had as high approval ratings in the beginning...

Also if you look at disapproval ratings for Obama you will notice a large increase from 12% on Jan 20th to the current 27%.

Business has little confidence in Obama, and they are who matter when it comes to the market.

Although they DO love the free money he offers them...

Are there polls you can show to support this statement?

No...but it is odd when Obama speaks the market tanks....

Well unless you take personal conversations with some guys who belong to a very exclusive golf club here....they seem to think Obama and his policies will cause a lot of problems.

Sidenote,I am simply the 'hired help' not a member of said club....

Not too much of a surprise. We've had 4 weeks of VERY positive movement, so some profit-taking not unheard off.

Plus there's the nervousness about what the earnings reports this week will show (until they are out there's bound to be some degree of uneasiness since the markets don't generally like uncertainty).

Weird....why was the market UP in all the other years of this "idiot's" presidency???

Sad you are so stuck in the politics of it all and fail to see anything else because of your partisanship.
