Why shouldn't they? They do everything an ordinary US citizen does. They own properties, work jobs, and have US born children.

Voting isn't about doing everything an ordinary U.S. citizens does, it's about BEING a U.S. citizen with full rights that go along with citizenship.

Voting is for citizens.
If someone is a green card holder, they can apply for citizenship if they meet the requirements.
If they choose not to become citizens, why would we bestow voting rights upon them?
