This has been IMO a long overdue question. So many conservatives want to rant about "Liberal Lies," things that liberals proclaim to rally and support, but secretly despise. But usually, these are mostly upset NeoCons who are still going all emo about November 4th. Now let me go on an actual contradiction that I have literally witnessed time after time: dealings with race relations!

Did I pull a nerve yet? Well let me explain. Where I am right now, almost everyone I talk to who's "liberal" speaks and brags about the need for "multiculturalism" and "diversity," making these as indicators of "progress." Given that these factors may help, many times, these same people make it as if those are the only things needed for amiable race relations. But that's just the beginning of my grievances. Another thing is that many of these "Liberals" tend to speak about being "open to meeting new people," but at the end of the day, they either go to their white enclaves in some typical preppy-breeding suburb, or if they do interact with people of different races, it's usually South Indians or Asians (or in the "really progressive places," everyone but blacks and Latinos, especially the males - and I'm not talking about avoiding the stereotypical ones either). Also, why is it that these liberals who are "so open to dialogue" are the ones who are the most "nervous" about answering questions pertaining to race relations, or better yet, the ones who literally run away from answering the questions? And, given the educational level of many of these liberals, why is it that liberals want to picture the negative aspects of blacks/Latinos (street gangs, modern-day rap, single mothers, Ebonics, ghettos/barrios, illegal immigrating, poverty, you know the rest) as "their culture" yet they seem to either fail to see (or deny the fact) that blacks and Hispanics are NOT monolithic creatures who speak/eat/listen/talk/live the same way! This leads me to the sweetest question of them all. As for blacks and Latinos who fit into the stereotype (i.e. act their "race" or for a lack of a better term, stay in their place), liberals tend to be "more comfortable" and "less threatened" by those kind of people, which is ironic. Yet when a non-stereotypical black or Latino person does his damnedest to improve his standard of living by getting an education and NOT taking in handouts or other social programs, or if the black/Latino person is smart, intellectual, or worldly, why is it that liberals tend to hold the most angst and bitterness towards them, and treat them like the criminals instead of the paragon of their race/community? Isn't that the reason why all of those liberals risked their lives going to the South during the sixties. Or was there some other ulterior motive to it (to **** off southerners, to have blacks vote democrat for the "next 200 years," etc.)

So answer me this question: why is it that many of you liberals try to shove the talk of "diversity" and "multiculturalism" down everyone's throats, but the second all of you are faced with situations when you can interact with a person from a "Non-Asian" minority group, you cut and run, or act all anal about it?

And PS: If any of you liberals deny to answer this question (or if I or this post mysteriously vanishes), this just proves my point of running from what I see as the TRUTH!

Point one: how did you arrive at the conclusion that this apparent hypocrisy comes from "many" liberals? You must have polled many millions of people to know that it's "many," as opposed to, shall we say, a handful of people you may have observed on your own.

Point two: if you or your post vanishes mysteriously, it's not necessarily proof of your point, or of the truth as you see it. It could just as easily be that someone has concluded (there's that nasty word again!) that what you really had was not a desire to get at any truth, but instead, an agenda to propagate.

And just for the record, I personally do not try to shove diversity, or any other concept, down anyone else's throat. Quite the contrary, it appears to me that such behavior is more representative of conservatives than liberals.

Or how about liberals who refer to poor white folk as "white trash"? Is that not racist/hypocritical as well? Why aren't the latte-drinking crowd counting such people as their friends? Why do they avoid them at all costs and call them such a derogatory term? Many of them vote for your socialist programs after all!

I do count them as friends.
I don't drink Lattes.
I don't avoid them.
I don't call them white trash, but I do recognize the term applies.
The 'white-trash' I've known have been conservatives.

And finally, you can't say that all "poor white folk" are "white trash".
As far as I understand things, "white trash" has more to do with how you live than it does your level of income.

For example, one of the classiest ladies I know is white and poor and lives in a trailer park. I would never consider her white trash.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Do you feel your president is up holding that? Is he possibly negotiating a higher power to that, bypassing it?

Freedom is the right to question, and change the established way of doing things. It is the right to put forth an idea, scoffed at by the experts, and watch it catch fire among the people. Freedom is the recognition that no single person, no single authority of government has a monopoly on the truth, but that every individual life is infinitely precious, that every one of us put on this world has been put there for a reason. "No substitute for victory"
