i wonder why the government won't close the borders? it's like they want us to die too i can't help but wonder if this pandemic was started on purpose with the intentions to kill alot of us. our government is pure evil.
Joe Biden seems to be more down to earth, with good glimmers of common sense, probably more than he's allowed to verbalize. It's what your mother would say if you were planning to travel, as she'd be looking out for your best interests rather than the airlines'. Yes, the administration has been mucking around in PC and indecision. Napolitano has been minimizing it "to prevent undue panic."
Is it time for due panic yet?
Well, guess what? The elementary school down the road just closed. A student was diagnosed with swine flu. It was on the local news.
I think what will happen is this. We are taking so many precautions that it's possible (I hope) that the virus will be contained and its effects will be minimal. OTOH when a million people don't die from it, everyone will say we took too many precautions!
There will always be those people that will think it was a wasted effort.
If anything this should be a wake up call..what if this was H5N1. Look at the mess in reporting facts vs hype and fear. The CDC and WHO are so far behind that if you had to wait for confirmation to get drugs you'd be dead. Hospitals and doctor offices are overwhelmed.
One week later ..yes it seems mild but no one knew that last Friday when Mexico reported deaths.
After reading this, I'm not sure I'd want to be vaccinated.

The government has distributed millions of vaccines, under National Guard security, to several states. Location of these stores is kept secret and, in some cases, kept under guard. They are ready for distribution if and when they might be needed. As I recall the map, the states are VT, CT, NY, OH,AR, KS, CA. Maybe I missed one or two.
We don't really have anything to worry about. This flu is not expected to develop into anything.
How big will this get? Will this get as serious as SARS?
I'm going to New York this summer, but now I'm not sure if that's a good idea. I'm wondering if I should still go?
