I came across this on a blog about commercials. It is very poignant, and it has a video of one of my favorite old commercials of all time. It also talks a little about a Super Bowl commercial that was a real loser and probably cost the company money. Check it out.

Potent Postulations

What is your favorite, least favorite, most controversial, commercial.

Did anyone think the Burger King 'Square Butts' commercial was smart?

I thought the one Al Gore had about global warming was a complete joke. Earth has cooled every year in the last 10 years... My carbon footprint is my foot up his A$$....

I'm pretty sure that there is no better commercial than this.

I can see how Burger King thought it might be.

It is a ***** poor attempt to get the humungously overweight to forget their plight, and transitionally normalize killer bottoms.

No guilt.

No remorse.

No fear of social ridicule.

We're all in this together - as Americans!

I wouldn't call it "smart." I laughed at it.

Wunder Boner trumps Burger King......
My all time favorite, in all fairness isnt aired in the US, but comes from the UK. IF it aired here, I'm sure you'd agree it would be rather controversial.....
Nothing X rated here, just fall on the floor hilarious/suggestive. Gotta watch carefully and listen to catch all the schtick.....Mow the Lawn.

Burger King has NEVER been able to get a decent commercial campaign going. Going back almost 30 years they've all sucked. Its like they aim their commercials at deviants or street gangs.
The last one that clicked was the "Have it your way" ad, maybe 25+ years ago.
I actually do like some of their food( fries and the whopper) but haven't eaten in one more than 4 or 5 times in the last ten years. They just have a bad vibe from those stupid commericals.
But who's creepier, Ronald McDonald or that new Burger King? I mean if you were walking down a dark alley and ran into either one, which would scare you more?
