WASHINGTON -- Vice President Joe Biden tells union leaders the best way to rebuild the middle class is to help labor unions grow.

Biden says the White House is committed to passing a bill that would make it easier for workers to form unions.

Well, unions are the reason that the middle class was able to prosper.

Get ready to ruuuumble!!!!

You just sounded the battle cry!

Many on this board would give up their first born rather than unions benefit the working and middle classes.

This is where I got some republican roots. Screw unions. They make things inefficient. We could get things done far better and faster with competition between contractors, and not union labor. It is a good way for a guy who barely passed highschool to make as much as me, and I worked my ass off in 5 years of college.

We should do away with unions.

Seems to be working out real well for those union employees at Crysler. Kill off the company then wait till their buddies in the D party hand them the company on a silver platter.

They got quite the dilemma now. They own it yet every fiber in their body is inclined to suck it dry. Maybe they'll do the smart thing and fire themselves.

Yeah and if we're real lucky work environments will deteriorate due to a lack of a check against capital.

Unions are good with keeping rich capitalist taking advantage of workers such as the early industrial days. It is a difficult sitiuation, but I hate unions, and I hate how all Union workers have this disdain for me when I say I am an engineer. Unless I waddle around some roof or highway with my ass hanging out making 25 bucks an hour on the tax payers, and bringing up the cost of construction on laziness, then I am not good enough for them.

I laugh at union supporters and anyone who thinks the boss man is out to get them. And you think gun-owners are paranoid? lol

I find it funny because i've found it exceedingly easy to work my way up the career ladder via hard work, make a nice living, and do so without devoting a single resource to the union cause. Its sad that others need a nanny to make sure they get what they deem is fair. Whatever happened to hardwork, ambition, goals, and pride?

Sorry, but my pride is within myself, not some union leader sitting on a throne somewhere proclaiming that he fights for you as he counts union dues and plans his next golf outing.
