Careful, not a good idea to mix medication with smilies.

No one is forgetting Bush. On the contrary, the left is bringing him up at every turn to avoid focusing in on the current President and his lackluster staff and damaging policies.

I for one criticized Pres. Bush when I thought he was wrong, such as not having a hundred thousand men on the ground in Afghanistan to run the show instead of outsourcing it to questionable natives. I also give him a boat load of credit for keeping me and my family safe for 7.5 years.

After a couple of years of the leftist uprising, once the economy begins to recover and people get out of the fear and fog, I think voters will take a much harder and better look at Obama and the current Politburo.

Except for one little mishap, Bush might have kept America safe for eight years.

If he could keep America safe, why wasn't he smart enough to keep America in American hands instead of selling it to the Chinese?

It might taper off by the middle of the 23rd century.

I am not interested in defending Bush, but from the beginning, I did notice he received a fair amount of unfair criticism and more than a few people ascribed the commonplace to him.

For instance, I saw a clip from France where bunch of students were going beserk over his religion finally yelling how he took his "oath of office on a Bible!" Do they know that all American Presidents do that?

Or when the left got their knickers in a twist over Bush saying he wanted to "smoke Bin Laden out." What was he to say? "We shall entice this rogue fellow out of his subterranean lair." Please.

Not to say the man did not make mistakes and then some. Funny how people would not focus on those.

I agree...and we're exacerbating and accelerating that sale as we run up even larger debt. The highest deficit under GWB was much smaller than any projected by Obama for his term and over the next 10 years.

Bush and the Republican Congress didn't tighten on spending as they should have done. They looked like pseudo-Democrats. Now you have the real thing and look at what they're doing. More spending, more taxes, more "programs," more government control over our lives, more class warfare.

What Obama and the Democrat Congress have proven is that all the warnings by conservatives were true. They dismissed the warnings as "fear mongering" and made the case that it was exaggeration, but unfortunately not. If the Democrats have their way, this country will be a nanny state where a minority of productive citizens pay for the unproductive, and the government mandates how you live your life, picking its own winners and losers. It's pretty sad really when you compare where we have been as a country over the last 60 years.

JFK was a Democrat, but a different kind of Democrat. He challenged us and said: "And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."

Today, the Democrat mantra is the exact opposite. It's about what the country can do for you, and the sense of entitlement and jealousy that others may have more then you.

Whats also funny is how Obama is similar to Bush but now its acceptable

Obama talking about holding terrorist for life with no trial. NO outrage.

Obama changes his mind and fighting releasing the " torture" photo and no outrage

Bush bailout terrible. Obamas great

Bush debt terrible Obamas great

Bush tax cuts while a war is terrible , Obama is great

Indeed!

Goes back further. I voted for Clinton twice. I supported his Welfare reform, taking on Sista Soulja, and his actions in the former Yugoslavia. But had a Republican been responsible for any of that, the Left would have been in a frenzy rather than acting like a bunch of swooning girls at a Beatles concert.

Forever. I hope it goes down in the history books for my grand kids to read. When will cons stop blaming Obama for the problems that started in the 8 years before he was even in office?
