I think that people who abide by the will of God will reap the blessings of their diligence and those who sin-or knowingly act against the will of God, will ultimately face the consequences of their actions.

Nah, he won't turn his back on all of America. Just those godless, heathen parts. Once New England and the West Coast are destroyed by Gawd's Wrath(TM), we'll be able to claim reclaim and rename this country as the Blessed Capitalist States of America, just as he would want. We would kill homos and pregnant women who even think about having abortions! We may even be able to make those darn Negroes and Injuns second-class citizens again while we're at it!

My question. Will God, or Has God already turned His back on America for the rampant immorality of it's people?
Interesting thing about religion: Seeing as how it requires a host society it is constantly forced to either 1) Change and thus bastardize itself from what it started out as - essentially becoming something else. Or 2) Remain the same and risk becoming obsolete. The other factor would be a society that never changes - which in turn would lead to thr ruin of said society.
Either way, religion is left with a doomsday of it's own. If it changes to keep pace it eventually leads to a corrupted hull of what it once was - and fails. If it becomes obsolete - it fails. If the society goes bust - it fails. Funny thing is... all these often happen at once. Keep in mind that all societies fall, that's a fact. The corruption of religion reflects the same corruption that will bring a civilization to its knees.
So...religion is doomed and so is society. So no matter what, at some point, societies "turn their back" on their god - it's the defect of religion that it eventually fails.
