Nothing new. Both sides play this game.

A corporation has a private event that anybody important will be invited or just one important politician. Guests pay/donate to attend. 1 guest or 100, they are buying a moment of the persons time. (doesn't mean the politicians have to listen to or agree with, or take any action, now does it)

Make the right donation to either party, and you too can have access.

The media was long ago swallowed up by corporations, who have only one goal. And it don't matter who is in the White House.

(after years of no-bid contracts to a company that a former administrator was part of didn't ruffle any feathers, why should this?)

Sorry Sanrene, Bush did it all the time. This is just the latest example of "politics as usual". So much for change we can believe in...

Bush did what all the time? Get lavish uncritical support from the vast majority of the press? I don't think so.
