Amen ZGACK! Let these libs insult everyone with their demeaning and sarcastic innuendo as if the libs are the only ones with a brain. If you disagree with them, then you must be just plain stupid. They feel that the louder they scream and the more insults they hurl at anyone with a different viewpoint...then the more righteous their argument. This government BS of more programs and more fines,taxes,fees etc etc will blow up in their faces in 2010&2012. This will come full circle and bite them hard in the coming elections. What they dont fully get...is that people vote their pocketbooks....when they feel they are being squeezed...well then out with the old and in with the new. Why do you think repubs lost in 08? Iraq lies and huge expenditures. Economy in the tank and rising fuel costs and everyone being squeezed like a lemon!

I haven't read every post here, the details to me are sketchy as far as this Senate plan...I would like to know where I'm going to come up with the money to pay for health insurance anually as I do for car insurance? I'm broke already?!?!
John McCain wasn't so charismatic as Obama bt at least he spoke the truth...Obama told the public tht the $ 1,000.- was just something McCan came up with, but now it seems to be true. Just like all other Obama lies...
In Fl. the cigarette tax went up $ 1.- for one packet....Which means a lot for the lower and middle class people who smoke the most. I agree with all others who will say "stop smoking" and I'm not a smoker and never was and no one in my family is a smoker, some are astmatic and can't even stand it or they get sick...but it is about the promiss Obama made.
Now he comes up with the "one stamp cost" per day which isat least $ 160.- a year...on top of the cigarette tax and the tax raises are coming and coming...
I hope the public will vote in 2010 with their brains and not with their kool aid mind..!

Just at 3% interest (enough to keep up with inflation) you'd be forking over $1000 per Month. That's not even paying down the principal...LOL

The problem is that medical costs are WAY too expensive. Seriously, it should NOT cost 1K+ to get a cast in the ER.
I have a qustion for anyone who knows the details of this plan. I am unhappy with my health insurance program at work. Starting this year there is a $1000 deductable. I am paying arounf 100 a month for this insurance but now I never go to the doctor because I don't want to pay the deductable. If this health program passes woud I have the option of dumping my employee insurance and buying the federal insurance?
You don't pay your own way. You don't have insurance. Where do you think you will go if you get into a serious accident? The emergency room and and a 30K bill. Who do you think will pay that?
do you know why the emergency room bills are so high? because democrats introduced a bill that guaranteed everyone treatment in the emergency room, WHETHER THEY COULD PAY OR NOT, so all americans are subsidizing emergency room treatment. pete stark, the democratic congressional representative for alameda county introduced EMTALA in 1986, which then passed, guaranteeing that all americans would be paying more for emergency room care.
now they plan to do it again, forcing all americans to subsidize insurance for everybody, thereby guaranteeing that all americans will be paying more for insurance.
Wait a min. I remember during the last debate with McCain and Obama and McCain was pressing Obama about how much the fine would be or how much they would have to pay if they didnt have this.
Obama kept saying no fine they wont have to pay anything. McCain pressed and pressed and Obama kept saying no there wouldnt be a fine
I'm tired of people not buying heath care insurance and going to my local hospital emergency room and stiffing them with the bill!
Who do you think winds up paying for that?
