President Bush yesterday vetoed legislation to expand federally funded embryonic stem cell research, saying that scientific advances now allow researchers to pursue the potentially lifesaving work without destroying human embryos.
Bush followed his veto -- his third since becoming president -- with an executive order aimed at encouraging federal agencies to support research that offers the promise of creating medically useful stem cells without destroying human embryos.

What is the weather like there,now? I have often wished I could visit,or move to Alaska. Now that Palin is gone, there is some HOPE for Alaska,IMHO!!

I wonder if Failin's resignation isn't due to an accumulation of future 'disclosures'. She requested an exemption from the Alaska Public Commissioners Office a couple of weeks ago. She doesn't want to disclose the discount Toddy gets from Arctic Cat for clothes as required by Alaska state law. Remember, she was just cleared of an ethics complaint for wearing Artic Cat clothing. Artic Cat is one of Toddy's sponsers. I wonder if the disclosure would show that she is getting compensated for wearing their clothing?

Isn't that part of the frivolous law suits going on, the ones she has a legal fund set up for so not to distract her from her duties? She doesn't look so distracted there...or she just cheering for the team of the day?
