Obama is a "smart" socialist. He realizes that he just can't openly proceed with his plan to turn this country into a socialist nation. He is rather shrewd and knows that that best way to control all of us, is to place so much financial pressure on our economy, that it collapses..puts people into a panic..at which time they become subservient and dependant on the government. Make no mistake about it..he is very cunning and knows exactly what he is doing. Just look at the "smirk" on his face when he speaks It is very revealing indeed.

Ok, David, lets say you're onto something there. My question would be, why are you so against it? I mean... eight years of robust capitalist expansion and where are we?? You can't pin this on Obama. As he was being sworn in the greatest economy the world has ever known was on its knees retching and the rest of the worlds economies were reaching for barf bags. This all happened before Obama even touched a legal pad with the Executive Seal on it. So, given that what was happening clearly wasn't working maybe something different??? Seems reasonable to me. Also, the precedent for "bailouts" wasn't set by Obama. The bank bailouts and the start of bailout proceedings for the car companies was started before Obama took office. Bailouts are not his invention. I believe he would have taken a different path and I believe it was intentionally engineered for things to crash and burn before Obama took office so that he would have no choice but to work with the restructuring efforts underway. Much the same way that the U.S. swore to remain in Iraq till 2011 before Obama took office. It was well known that he favored an earlier pullout. Now he is being called a campaign fraud when it was clearly not his intention to make any treaty guaranteeing a U.S. presence in Iraq till 2011.

I do believe the answer you're going to get regarding why he's against it is "because I work hard for my money dammit! No one's going to get their filthy paws on my hard-earned money & give it away to a bunch of lazy low lifes! Let them earn their own damn money instead of constantly leeching us honest, hard working people out of our honest, hard-earned money. Dregs of society they are!!!!" Does that about fit?
Maybe, except that is hardly what is happening. Less than 10% of Americans are on welfare and they have been getting by on the billions appropriated for Social Services for decades. Bailing out Fortune 500 coorporations is something new. Trillions are now being ripped from the middle class and passed up the food chain to people who already have billions and it is supposed to trickle back down. Well it isn't. It won't and if that was what he was angry about I'd not be questioning him.
Haters, get a clue. Obama isn't the enemy. Corporate greed is the enemy. Obama may be a tool of the corporations but that is what ALL presidents are. Obama is less of a tool than most and that is why you hate him. Because he is actually trying to send a care package downstream where most of us live. If, like under Bush, it all went the way of Exxon-Mobil or Glaxow-Smith-Kline you'd have no problem.
Lets see if this mindless support of Capitalist greed is still at a fever pitch in another year or so when the unemployment funds have all run dry and actual starvation of former middle class Americans begins in earnest.
That sounds like a description of Munchausen(sp) Syndrome by Proxy. A serious pyschological disorder. If true, America is in grave danger. Why doesn't anyone else (Senatorial, Congressional) see the danger??

Its no syndrome..its just plain and simple..People need to start with alittle common-sense out look on things...If you want to control a large population...tax the sh&t out of them and in-debt them...you cant ever get out from under the load. Simple!

If you want to put your money where your mouth is, I'll take a lot of this action. But, ahem, your money isn't worth much these days, so I'll need your payment in gold. Come to think of it, though, you DO have a point about most of Barry's voters being worthless scum, whether they work or not.
I'd like to play a game of horse with Obama. I would have liked to have gone fishing with W. And playing golf with Clinton I think would have been a great time. I didn't agree with a lot of things these guys did in office, but, hey, work is just one aspect of a person's life.
