We posted on this board that the stimulus was not big enough mainly because it had been watered down with needless tax cuts to placate the right. Spineless Dems...they will not hold their ground and let the right ruin the stimulus.
It was watered down? Then why have the dems only spent about 10% of it?
All I know is the Bush/Cheney cabal left a trainwreck economically that the entire WORLD has felt.
To think this economic tsunami of debt left over from 8 years of malfeasance is going to somehow cure itself is pure fantasy, it requires massive stimulus or we end up with another Depression. We have Herbert Hoover to show us how cutting spending will end up for the country. We have FDR to remind us how investment in America can jump start a recovery. The Depression lasted for a decade, this is not going to be a quick fix.
You're right. There's no way that debt by itself could cure itself. Lets see....lets just triple it. That'll fix her.
What gets me is that you have no earthly clue what you are talking about. We are talking about getting the economy out of a slump and you are talking about balancing the budget!!!! LOL
ANY ECONOMIST whether they be Keynesian and Chicago School will tell you balancing the budget is not helpful during a downturn.!!!!
As I said back in February...The wingers would insist on measures that would ruin the bill....too small....to many tax cuts....then turn around and not vote for the bill..........Then blame the Dems when it fails....LOL

Why dont you answer how its too small? The current dumbasses in office (D) have only spent 10% of the "stimulus". If it was soooo important to get it rushed through without anyone reading it, and there were soooo many "shovel ready projects". How is it the reps fault if your BFFs arent spending the money?

You neoCONS are really good with those number ain't ya..? It took 8 years for the Republicans to railroad this economy it's going to take longer than 6 months to turn it around... I hope Obama puts another trillion or so towards another stimulus package as economist have suggested.

Where do you suggest we get that trillion from anyway? We can't borrow it from other countries, since we have a negative credit score with them, so it will come from the people. Frankly, you can pay it, I don't want MY money to be pissed away on stupid crap like another pork laden "stimulus" that did NO ONE (besides businesses) any good.
