On the defensive over the and health care,
the White House is shooting back with a
double-barreled message for its critics and skeptics.

To Republicans who say the stimulus isn’t working: Back off.

“You can either be for the recovery act or against it.”

“If you prefer to forfeit the money we are making available to your state, as Sen. Kyl suggests, please let me know,” wrote Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. For good measure, he attached a three-page addendum listing each of the Arizona projects paid for by the $521 million the state is getting.

That's a hollow statement. We've already seen that there is little freedom to forfeit the money.

Not surprising that Obama is ramping up the rhetoric with his back up against the wall.

Of course , how dare someone speak out against Obama.

The stimulus is working really? Obama said the stimulus has done his job.

Please, where in the link states the following “You can either be for the recovery act or against it.” Must be your plug eh?

Transportation Secretary merely states that if you don't want the stimulus directed to your State than let him know as the funds will likely be redirected.

Obama reminds me of the 21 year old kid that has not figured out life quite yet. He wants everything...now...and gets upset when things take time to develop.

Banks
Car makers
Health care

All in less than 200 days...

What the heck is the hurry? These issues did not just appear, Biden has been in office for 29 consecutive years, he should have seen a few of these issues. I have always been leery of any "deals" that started with, "you must act now" and feel this guy is the same snake oil salesman. I firmly believe he wants a strong America...as I do...but I don't think he has enough political experience to really know what is right and what is wrong...

I simple ask a single question...name one program the government has run that they did not royally screw up...and you want to gravitate towards a socialist state?

I am starting to really worry about this guy and his strong arm tactics.
