We are on the brink of becoming the U.S.S.R. - the United States of Socialist Retards. I served my country to defend truth, liberty, capitalism and personal freedom, all of which is being slowly eradicated by TOTUS and his staff of miserable anti-American freaks.

I love my country (and those who still believe in the American way of life) - but I truly hate this government. Not since the Carter administration have we seen such an inept, useless collection of talking heads (no offense to the band, David Byrne is a genius).

You're right but I didn't like what he said about legalizing marijuana. He just said no without giving any reason why. People think marjiana is the third rail of politics but it isn't. The least he could do in my opinion is let the states decide. If he did that, California would probably legalize it and it would be a key factor in solving the budget crisis.

I support Obama overall, but it's not a stong support. There are plenty of good things that he's done, but he hasn't given America the clean break from Bush's neo-con politics that America needs. I also think that on many of the parts of Obama's policy that I support, he's not being assertive enough; especially on the EFCA and on health care reform.

I remember that. I was visiting Pittsburgh at the time.
If I remember correctly, she was mentally unstable... I don't know if that makes it any better, but she definitely had issues.

And by the way, I was and am an Obama supporter. Just saying that this lady was an anomaly in my opinion.

No, But the problem is we can see the tactics this guy is going to try and use to fix things. Those who are educated know that Obama offers no long term solutions to reforming the economy. Only band aids that are intended to keep him and the Democrats in power for the next 6-8 years.

I am for change. I just haven't seen much of it as of now. Looking pretty much like a third Bush term. Economy in the trash can, unemployment going up, 2 wars still going full tilt, higher military spending and less spending on education, health and infrastructure and huge bailouts for the richest 1%. Where is the "change" I can believe in? I know he has only been there 6 months and I am patient but we don't seem to be going anywhere.

What is "the American way of life"?? I hear cons use this catch phrase all the time but nobody can tell me what it means. I didn't know there was any one way of life that was the "American" way of life.

You need to go and visit another country, almost any other counry and you may get an idea of how to answer your question. There is a new generation in this country that because their primary exposure has been to leftist indoctrination of the public schools system and an inability to think for themselves has resulted in failure to realize the blessing of being an enculturated American. It is sad for you.
