Of course if anybody would have voted down this bill you would have then said, that look, the liberals are cutting our defense budget with your usual artificial outrage.

Of course this is the 6 or more postings on this topic, even one posted by you. If you would have read any of them you'd find out who the biggest spenders are in air travel, but would have shown no concern, since they are not democrats.

My apologies plannine...

Your right republicans are just as guilty...but what gets me...is that you want to turn over complete control of our health care system to these incompetent & corrupt politicians both "Democrats and Republicans"...thats what amazes me...

That's why I said "Congress" with no political party mentioned. According to the article, members of both parties are standing against this as well so kudos to them.

Let them fly on Southwest Airline's famous self loading cattle car service. At least they will get a bag of peanuts for their trouble.

I am being serious about this. I truly believe the Senators and Representatives should have to put up with the same service and security hassles as the rest of us. Just because they were elected and most are quite wealthy should not give then privilege. They are not any more important than anyone else.

it does not really matter who ordered it or who did not stop it because it just shows that

1) congress is out of touch with americans

2) congress wants a better standard of living than average americans, while expecting americans to sacrifice so they can maintain that standard of living.

So will the healthcare czars get private jets? Don't the new heads of GM and the auto industry and banking czars get private jets now that they're run by the government?
I've heard they even fly VIPs in to DC for keg parties on private jets.
