I think that there are a lot of people who will waken from their blue vs red stupor and agree with Paglia.
What she is saying is that neither party is operating with the American publics best interest at heart - or anywhere else for that matter. We as a people need to realize we are being manipulated into believing the us vs them hype when in reality the only 'us vs them' is the American public vs the politicians.
There is a lot of truth to this but I would add that the 'us vs them' is the American public vs the politicians and the lobbyist that own them.
