Perhaps that is for the market to decide. If the American people intentionally boycott and withhold their money from the Eagles and the NFL as a whole, Vick will probably be fired.

But if not, he'll get his payday.

It's up to the American folks.

I think he should be given a fair chance. He did his time. If his profession wants to hire him back, why is that any different than any other profession hiring an old employee back? I believe in being tough on crime and I love dogs (have 2), but I think many people are are thinking with their hearts and not their heads on this. These are usually the same people believe in rehabilitation, programs, give peace a chance, etc. When it comes to puppies...It's F-ing on!

My guess (don't know...but I'm common sensing it) is that he will be donating a lot of money to the humane society, etc. to boost his image. If he's working a minimum wage job like a lot of people think he should, it may be a serious loss situation for animals. I guess we'll find out.

Wow guess it's a good thing he's not depending on your forgiveness, huh? If we start looking at the morals of pro athletes the majority of them wouldn't be able to play.

the problem is that the eagles management has actually lowered the bar for decency in this country. shame on eagles management!

of course, the last time the Eagles won an NFL championship was 1960 so they have obviously made plenty of bad decisions along the way. i guess when you get desperate you will try anything......

too bad they never had a good management team in place originally, so they wouldn't have to sink to this level.

LOL the philadelphia eagles, a football team, has lowered the bar for decency for the entire COUNTRY? what exactly did they do to "lower the bar for decency"? If McDonalds hired Vick, would they be guilty of the same thing? Should we ban all ex convicts from working ever again?

And the Eagles have made what, 5 NFC championship games the past decade? You call that bad management? Only one team gets to win the Superbowl every year...

bah what am I saying, you obviously don't know much and don't care too much about the subject, and would hate on Vick even if he got life in prison. Must suck to be such a bitter person.

they haven't won an NFL championship since 1960, so you can call that good management all you want! t
they have only played in 2 superbowls and lost both, so no super bowl wins either.

As someone who has worked in animal shelters before and has seen firsthand many of the abuses that people do to animals, I have very little sympathy for someone like Vick.

But as others have said, he did his time. If he gets caught doing something so atrocious again...put him in a pit with rabid dogs and let them have at him.

I'm well aware of Eagles record in the superbowl, but I have no idea what that has to do with Michael Vick. The Eagles have made 5 NFC championship games in the past 10 years, they have been a consistent contender without having to go through a rebuilding period. If you actually knew anything about football, you'd know that philly has one of the best front offices in the NFL, they just have a choker for a QB who will most likely never lead a team to a superbowl win unless he has tons of help behind him.

You're welcome for the enlightenment.
