That's the problem with Anglo-Saxon economic model : it has to be repaid some day.

Ethnic heritage has nothing to do with debt. Debt is caused by spending more money than is taken in. Thank your free spending politicians for the debt.

Typical of us Americans to blame EVERYTHING on politicians. It was us that thought we could charge our way to prosperity. Our collective greed created this debt.

Anglo Saxon economic model - which incidentally isn't a reference to ethnicity but is a reference to an economic policy - is the cause of huge debt mountain.

Anglo Saxon model adopted the idea that credit was good.
Credit is good, so long as you have the means to repay what you have borrowed.

Greed? The debt was caused by public spending on the part of the government. The "greed" involves want for schools, roads, and the military. The "greed" comes from the gimme people who want all the freebies that we cannot afford as a nation. When did humans change from hard working, self sustaining beings into beggars?

You attitude is as I expected. We passed the buck when it comes to credit, now were passing the buck to politicians when it comes to our collective greed. The housing market collapsed because people wanted what they couldn't afford and the lack of regulation allowed them to "charge" what they couldn't afford. The majority of these people worked hard, they just got greedy. The "freebie" nonsense is a convienent excuse. The people who you call beggars aren't buying McMansions they have no business buying, they're just trying to get by. The programs I'm guessing you're reffering to didn't collapse our economy, the housing bubble and fraudulent Iraq War did that and both were based solely on greed.

There's a difference between greed and need.
