Wanting investigations into possible law-breaking is "harping" and "crying over spilt milk"?
The CIA and Administration were advised by Justice Department lawyers, giving their legal opinions regarding what did and did not constitute torture. If they were following those legal opinions, there is nothing they can be charged with. We all know this - it is a distraction and smoke screen by obama.

Obama is forming a private White House Interrogation unit. Didn't Saddam Hussein have something similar?

Their legal opinions are not substitutes for a court of law. They can still be held to be responsible.

terrorists are terrorists point blank! Do you think they really care what Eric Holder does? They are going to attack no natter what. There is a difference between those that gather intellegence in the CIA and those involved with interrogations who could have violated our own laws. Of course it also depends what one does with that info such as the August 6th memo stating Bin Laden determined to attack and was promptly ignored by the cowboy and his administration.

Try and distract the public from obama's boondoggle of obamacare and Cap&Trade. This way, Holder and obama minions can release selective information of their investigation in a slow, drip, drip, drip leakage in order to attempt to keep the public attention off the HC debate.

It won't work.

All they are doing is what liberals do best. Undermine our intelligence and national security for partisan political reasons. This helps only one faction, the enemies of the US, who also happen to be allied with the liberals/dems in the US. They have the very same goals in mind.
lmao, you got it all figured out don't ya...?

To assume that terrorists are not plotting is foolish. No doubt about it they are.
Its been proven an estimated 20 million times that it isn't hard to sneak into this country.
Its also been proven that there is no real abilit to protect our cities from dangers within. In other words if they can get into the city and aquire the materials needed they can and will attack.
There is no President that can prevent this. Our borders are to open and our leadership to fearful of being accused of being racist to be able to protect us.
That is a fact.
Would torture of prisoners protect us? I don't know nor does anyone who is not really educated on the topic.
It worked for the USSR,East germany, North Vietnam etc. They used a great deal of torture and with success.
Maybe we should outsourse it to the real masters.
When you make the statements as you did in your above post yep, you are sceeered...

The independent committee will find that a culture of caution at the CIA, as a result of these investigations and prosecutions, watered-down our ability to take the necessary action to prevent an attack on our country.

I can envision this without a single reservation. It's only a matter of time.

OK, but let's also not forget how we got here in the first place. After taking office in 1993 the WTC was attacked by al Qaeda. The same al Qaeda attacked us five times during the Clinton years. We knew who they were and we knew where they were, but we did nothing to go after them. Sure we fired a few missiles into an empty valley in Afghanistan, but we never funded the CIA adequately and we had no operatives inside Afghanistan. That should come as no surprise since the same CIA suffered a 25% attrition rate during the same Clinton years. They could barely perform the work they already had with their dwindling numbers without a new mission being added. So we did nothing with predictable results on 9/11. Now that the Bush administration has restored the capacities of the CIA we have Congressional leaders making false claims against them and apparently we are now going to prosecute the people who put their lives on the line for us and our children.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me.
