How can so many of the GOP be so far out of step with the rest of the nation. I just read the article on Rep Lynn Jenkins from Kansas saying the party need to find “A Great White Hope” I think the rest of the country has moved past those subtle prejudice positions, and now I see a major political party leader making such a statement. I feel like I am watching the extreme of their party committing political suicide. At what point will the GOP see it is the moderates and independents that swing the votes, and not the far right nuts?

She is from Kansas- you know the state that gave us people like Tim McVegh and the Westboro Baptist Church. The state that banned evolution and required "creationism". The state that banned liquor and anything over 3% beer until only recently. So what do you expect?
Kansas is a very strange place politically. It is like the Twilight Zone. It is full of religious Republican nutcases but yet has some of the most liberal abortion laws in the country (one of the few places you can get a legal 3rd trimester abortion for any reason).

Yeah, "Children of The Corn." That actually takes place in Nebraska, but probably should have been set in Kansas.

Political suicide? Have you been paying one iota of attention to national politics lately? I would reconcile that it is indeed the Democrats that will pay dearly in 2010/2012. Read up on a little bit of history. We are seeing 1993/1994 all over again.

I predict the Democrats will WIN seats in 2010 and that Obama will SMASH either Romney or Palin in 2012 IF they do the change we sent them there to do with the healthcare being priority number 1.

Obama is leading the leftwing lemmings over the cliff. I only hope it happens in time.

The Grand Old Partisans are morally bankrupt

The major problem with the Republicrats is that their leftist agenda is barely distinguishable from the Demopublicans.

Remember that pursuant to the Declaration of Independence, America's governments are instituted to secure inalienable rights to life, liberty and private property ownership.

The 20th century, and now, the 21st century, Congress has been steadily marching the nation to a socialist police state.

When was the last time Congress passed any statute that secured one's absolute ownership, or one's liberty or one's right to life?

The majority of their efforts are devoted to "managing", i.e., to rob the public treasury, bribing their way to more power at the expense of the people.

An example of the pre-socialist inalienable rights:
Amendment V, US Constitution 1789
... nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
In contrast, let us examine the opposite of American Ideals.
From the Communist manifesto: "In this sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property."
Most Americans would be surprised to learn that private property rights were abolished by voluntary enrollment into national socialism (aka Socialist InSecurity). Since 1935, the U.S. government has been LEFTIST, whether Demopublican or Republicrat.
PRIVATE PROPERTY - "As protected from being taken for public uses, is such property as belongs absolutely to an individual, and of which he has the exclusive right of disposition. Property of a specific, fixed and tangible nature, capable of being in possession and transmitted to another, such as houses, lands, and chattels."
- - - Black's Law dictionary, sixth ed., p.1217
If the government takes your property for public use - and does not pay just compensation - then you have absolute proof that you do not own private property anymore.

That's why it matters little which party is in power - both horses in the race are running on the left side of the track. And the real owners are the socialist / usurer alliance.

You could be right but this time it's going to be different. The Republican party did commit political suicide when McCain was nominated and then the Vice President pick and many other reasons. The DNC committed political suicide years ago. In our two party system you only have Heckle and Jeckle to vote for, and because both parties are corrupt to the core this nation needs a third party to rise very soon.
