People who live in Massachusets are allowed to buy liquor in New Hampshire just as you would be if you went there. All taxes due on the sale were in fact paid.

Yeah, but not in the state in which he serves office

So, what are you saying...that if he had bought liquor in Massachusetts, he would NOT have paid taxes due on the sale? That Massachusetts legislators -- unlike any other group of people -- are prohibited from travelling to other states, near and far, and then buying things while they are there? Just how stupid an argument are right-wingers willing to try to spin out of this story?

It's okay with me. I don't own a liquor store in MA. Tax away!

Do you completely miss the point on everything?

Please explain his logic for not buying it in his home state and thus giving money to another state. Was it because of the tax or not? Obviously he feels it is an advantage to NOT have a high sales tax, otherwise he would have bought it in his home state.

It would be helpful to know if the rep brought the liquor back to his home state or consumed it in New Hampshire, how much he bought, or if he happened to be in New Hampshire passing through or made a "special" trip just to pickup the booze..
