I concur with the results of the poll. The GOPers in Congress are too liberal. They have let the Demorcat left wing of the Democrat party define what is center. I contend what they claim to be centrist is actually left of center. Let's face it. They spend more time living in liberal urban America and just like voters who live and talk with like-minded people, they succumb to the group think of liberal urban Americans with whom they spend most of their time. They are just as "out of it" as The Democrats. For crying out loud, it was really hard to differentiate McCain's stand on illegal aliens, "green" issues and terrorist treatment as it was Obama's and neither knew jack about the economy. And the two minority "leaders" --- (and the ones right before them) aren't leaders. They play defense. And Steele, who I actually voted for in Maryland, has turned out to be a huge wishy-washy disappointment. The biggest travesty in the last election was that we had two choices from the dust bowl known as the US Senate. I'd like to see our next choice come from some place other than Washington DC.

WOW!! You really jumped over the 74% out of touch number didn't you? LOL. Don't feel bad about voting Steele though. He hoodwinked a lot of folks and got Governor Toupe elected, for one term thankfully.

You do realize Senators come from state outside D.C. don't you? Also, we're looking a bit thin on quality Governors. It all adds up to an easy reelection for Obama.
