A lot of posters on here follow Glenn Beck and express concern as to why the rest of us do not "get it" when Beck goes on and on about radicals.
Here is a good example of why Beck should not be trusted. He has maligned an individual who has promoted deeply market-based solutions to sustainability. I realize this is from a liberal source, but the individual has worked with Jones for years. We should all recognize that these political entertainers - from Beck and Hannity to Olbermann need to twist facts for ratings:

Let me ask this question. I have heard but cannot find any confermation that Van has a 4 year old named Che. Is that true or just a rumor? I sure would like to know the answer to that.

Can you give examples of Van Jones's "communism" and "socialism" showing in the Green Jobs program?
He is a self-professed communist. He is a racist, based on his videotaped comments. He is in the White House as an advisor to the president.
You can't deny these facts. And these facts should cause him to resign.
Being defended by a "huffing" blogger isn't proof that he is none of these. And they considered him vetted? Because an obviously biased former employer said he was? Suspect.....

I couldn't agree with you more. In fact, the White House owes white people an apology for this comment. Evidently, Obama can't even corral his own horses. What goes around comes around. I hope this guy gets what he deserves.
Why would Obama even want to? Obama's mindset is the same as Jones' - demonize 'white' Americans for any perceived 'injustice':

And I really want to emphasize the word 'responsibility.' I think that whether you are a white executive living out in the suburbs, who doesn’t want to pay taxes to inner-city children for them to go to school, or you’re an inner-city child who doesn’t want to take responsibility for keeping your street safe and clean, both of those groups have to take some responsibility if we’re going to get beyond the kinds of divisions that we face right now."

My comments - first of all, the 'white' is completely unnecessary in Obama's statement. It's race-baiting. The suburbs are very racially diverse and everyone knows that. Secondly, it's not the suburban residents that don't want to pay - it's the CHICAGO residents like Obama, Rahm, Rezko, etc. THEY'RE sticking the rest of the state with 30% of the Chicago Public School System's bill. And thirdly, Chicago's schools spend more per student than the state average, currently spending over $11,000 per student per year. They're not hurting for money for schools in the inner-city.

“The white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people of color communities because they don’t have a racial justice frame” -- actually a communist would have put that in economic terms, lol. But are you familiar with E St. Louis? Anniston, AL? He's absolutely right.
